In
the lead for 130 years. If
the history of a product and a material can be read through its
applications and its different phases of evolution, then we can
certainly claim to be an important chapter in the history of the best
flooring materials. We have consistently anticipated trends and
accumulated extensive and unique knowledge over several decades in
relation to a very special material: vitrified stoneware. In our era
and in the next millennium, vitrified stoneware will continue to be
the most high quality and high performance product in modern tile
production. Even at the beginning of this century, Ceramica Licure Vaccari
was already producing excellent vitrified stoneware tiles in
various sizes for residential applications, along with traditional
mosaics made of the same material, which was truly innovative for
prestigious applications. In fact, our vitrified stoneware materials
were used in the interior design of villas, hotel lobbies, and
restaurants to create flooring in a variety of formats: square,
rectangular, hexagonal, and octagonal,with1iridescent or porphyrized
surface finishes. Ceramica Licure Vaccari has thus been on the scene
for over a century: our tradition and industrial culture have always
been accompanied by in-depth research and experimentation. These are
the unique reasons for our customers' intelligent choice, a choice
guaranteed by the best aesthetics and the best quality

- 130 Years of History
The
history of Ceramica Ligure Vaccari is made up of several stages which
are essential to the history of modern flooring materials. These
stages provide a clear view of the innovative market trends. Ceramica Ligure
Vaccari is a reference point in this industrial sector because
we have always believed in the use of vitrified stoneware for a range
of applications: from industrial, to public, to residential, for which
we developed specific formats and colors as early as the 1 950s. Ceramica
Ligure Vaccari continues to be a strong market presence,
offering extensive experience and total reliability we see our company
as an irreplaceable partner for interior designers, architects, and
end-users, to whom Ceramica Ligure Vaccari offers a range of
"intelligent" materials with indisputable technical
qualities and aesthetic values refined by years of experimentation and
by the "heart" of a company that has been producing
vitrified stoneware for architecture since 1911.

- A 130-year guarantee
The guarantee of all the materials produced by Ceramica
Ligure Vaccari is inherent to the history and experience of
this important Italian company: 130 years of know-how in forcing the
earth. It is an experience which becomes more concrete on examining the
technical values of Ceramica Ligure Vaccari materials, which have always
exceeded those dictated by the international standards. Excellent
mechanical-physical characteristics establish Ceramica Ligure Vaccari 's
vero vitrified stoneware as a "truly different material":
different because it is totally stain proof verified by rigorous tests
carried out using the types of stains most commonly found in the
domestic environment and those encountered in public spaces.
Different too, because vero 's extreme hardness poses
considerable difficulty in the polishing process, which can be done
perfectly and uniformly only as a result of a technology developed
specifically for these materials. This means that vero vitrified
stoneware does not wear down and the homogeneous shine of its polished
surfaces remains unchanged over time -- the similarities to marble and
other types of natural stone are remarkable. Vero Vitrified stoneware is
guaranteed because:
- Differently from other similar materials, it does
not undergo any sort of special surface treatment during the production
phase,
- it does not require any sort of chemical treatment
before or after being laid in order to increase its water-repellence and
thus its clean ability

 A
sample of Vaccari Vero' vitrified stoneware, and one available
on the market made by another company with treated surfaces, were
subjected to abrasion tests up to the PLI V level. The difference is
immediately noticeable, because the former is unaltered, whereas the
latter loses its shine in the part that has been subject to abrasion.
This shows what would happen if the tiles were placed in an area
subject to intense wear such as high-traffic public places. To verify
their absorbency, the two samples were stained with a magic marker and
after one minute cleaned with the appropriate cleaning agents. The Vaccari
sample showed neither absorbency nor disparity between the two
areas; the other sample could only be cleaned in the area that still
had the surface treatment, whereas the part subjected to abrasion
continued to show evidence of stain residues.

- An absolute standard
The
characteristics of the raw materials
used in vero® vitrified stoneware, and the expertise in
managing all of the production phases, allow Ceramica Ligure Vaccari to boast unmatchable product characteristics,
superior to that of similar products made by other companies, and certainly
above the required standards. All our experience and history can be
clearly seen upon examining a few essential facts. Ceramica Ligure
Vaccari 's vitrified stoneware has only a 0.02% absorbency factor --an
unbeatable value and the best in vitrified stoneware. All the
vitrified stoneware produced by Ceramica Ligure Vaccari is 1,000
kg/cm2 strong -- this
is the highest breaking load of any material tested in the same
category. This means extreme material hardness throughout the entire
thickness of the tile: flooring materials that are totally resistant
to wear, incredibly strong,
And everlasting. These and all the other quality values are
constantly checked by means of in-house laboratory jests. They are
also checked by international institutes in order to be classified
according to the international standards, and to be approved for all
the countries which require specific characteristics (the USA and Europe). Thanks to values that are
consistently
Higher than those required, Ceramica Ligure Vaccari vero® vitrified
stoneware means excellence in quality. Our company's 130 years of
history can be verified through the thousands of times our products
have been used in public as well as private spaces -- because Ceramica
Ligure Vaccari was the first to believe in the application of
vitrified stoneware in the home. For decades, Ceramica Ligure Vaccari has been producing
specific colors and sizes and aiming research
towards aesthetic values as well (a potential that was unknown for
this material until only a few years ago). Through the addition of
precious minerals in the clay body we obtain the attractive surfaces
evident in kromos and materia' -- the trend of today
